Trip

UA short trip with my neighbors to Amanohashidate, or literarbridge of heaven. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanohashidate ).

It is already the beginnig of the flower viewing season here at home, but at Amanohashidate, about three hours north, ample snowfall welcomed us. We all enjoyed this unexpected treat.

Amanohashidate is north of Kyoto, facing Japan Sea. While traveling, we stopped at a local sake brewery. One of the treats of traveling in Japan is to have a taste of the local sake, and so there we got a couple of bottles named “Kyo no haru”, or “Spring of Kyoto”, which we emptied during the dinner at our inn.
